Nails Valentina

I was suffering from a bit of “split nail personality” disorder while choosing a design this week. So I have two designs on my nails, though I think for Valentine’s Day, I prefer the one with hearts. I think I’ll revisit the lattice design this summer.

I thought Zoya’s “Valentina” was the no-brainer choice for color this week, not blood red, but not pink either. I like it a lot, it’s bright and cheerful this time of year. I used my white “Stripe Rite” polish for the lines, and then rhinestones & puffy hearts to accent. As always, one coat Zoya Anchor, 2 coats polish, a coat of Zoya Armour to set the stones/hearts, and another 2 coats top coat to finish. I haven’t used these “puffy shapes” before – they’re fun, and the rounded tops make them smooth to wear, even though they stick up off the nail. Very nice!

I used the Peacekeepers Eco-Friendly polish remover to take off the Nubar polish from last week, and I’ll post a review of that tomorrow, along with pictures of the other new polishes & another eco-friendly remover I ordered last week (they arrived last night – hooray!). So far, so good!

I like both designs, but those little puffy hearts did me in! Where did you get those? I'm loving them.

Can't wait for your review tomorrow :)

Brooke, I got the puffy hearts in a "nail art set" I splurged on in December. I'll have to look at the brand, but I think I ordered the set from 8ty8 Beauty. Tons of fun stuff in there...I think it will keep me busy for awhile!

Have you seen that 8ty8 is shut down for the time being? Their page says that they are basically overwhelmed with orders and are not taking anymore until they can get caught back up!

It was terrible timing to, because the last contest I had, I ordered the winners stuff from 8ty8 and it took forever for them to get it out. I even had to call them to find out where the order was. I felt so terrible that the winner of my contest had to wait so long for her prize.

Bummer, Brooke! I hadn't heard that. I guess it's a good sign that they're doing well though, if they're simply overwhelmed with orders! I'll have to look elsewhere for awhile, then...

Nice mani! Love those hearts. I'll have to try that set from 8ty8. I've been to their site several times to see if they were back up. Had to order from Head2toe.
